I Can Do That! spring 2010
Spring 2010 - Twenty Five school sites are participating in I CAN DO THAT! this spring. Artists began working in classrooms in January and will wrap things up by the end of the school year.
Highlights from I Can Do That! Spring 2010:
Leonardo da Vinci K-8 School
Artist Alice Twilla taught students at Leonardo da Vinci School Hip Hop dance. The students went on to perform at the Spring Festival of the Arts, the LdV school talent show and the Sacramento Zoo.
John Cabrillo Elementary School
Students at John Cabrillo Elementary School worked with visual artist Jane Hastings to learn various art techniques including self portraiture.
The students' art work was on display at the Spring Very Special Festival of the Arts and the Sacramento Zoo.
Isador Cohen Pre-School
Pre-school students at Isador Cohen Elementary School learned Musical Theatre under the direction of artist Julie Soto. The students performed at the Spring Very Special Festival of the Arts, the Sacramento Zoo and their own graduation.
