I Can Do That! 21st annual Spring Very Special Festival of the Arts, Friday, May 18, 2007:

Very Special Arts California at Sacramento (VSAS), in partnership with City of Sacramento Parks and Recreation and Sacramento City Unified School District, presented the 21st annual spring Very Special Festival of the Arts Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Coloma Community Center.

VSAS performances occured simultaneously on two separate stages (indoor and outdoor) and included vocal music, hip hop dance, theatre arts, drumming, band, and Aztec dance. Five rooms at the Coloma Community Center served as galleries for nearly 1,000 pieces of artwork including kente cloths, life-sized portrait drawings, watercolor paintings, ceramic works, plaster masks, wire sculptures, comic books, and more!

Festival visitors created artowk at 50 funshops and were guided through art projects by volunteers from Short Center North and South, Sutter Middle School, Mustard Seed School, UC Davis, CSUS, Orange Grove Adult School, SCC Community Transistion Program, and members of the general public.
