Americans with Disabilities Act 20th Anniversary
Very Special Arts Sacramento will join over 36 state and local governmental departments, community-based organizations, and private businesses to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act in Sacramento on Monday, July 26, 2010. VSA Sacramento’s LDV Blues Band will perform on the West Steps of the State Capitol Building at 9:00 am and again at 12:45 pm. The Very Special Arts Sacramento Hip-Hop Crew will perform at 12:25 pm. VSA will also be part of presentations by notable proponents of the ADA, testimonials from people with disabilities, cake cutting, and the resource fair.

ArtsAlive! 2010 at Music Circus
Very Special Arts Sacramento has been chosen to participate in ArtsAlive! 2010 hosted by Music Circus and California Musical Theatre. 25 VSA students will be attending one of the musicals and participating in a behind-the-scenes peek, pre-show discussion and question/answer session with one of the actors.

International VSA Festival
The International VSA Festival, a multicultural celebration of the arts and education, was held in Washington DC June 6-12, 2010. The festival brings together artists, educators, researchers, and policymakers with and without disabilities from around the world.
VSAS and Dreamnight at the Sacramento Zoo
Friday, June 4, 2010 - VSA arts of California at Sacramento will provide Performances and Funshops to children with disabilities from throughout Sacramento County (including VSAS students) who attend Dreamnight at the Sacramento Zoo this June.
VSA Days at The Sacramento Zoo
Tuesday, June 8, 2010 - I Can Do That! students will display artwork and perform for Sacramento Zoo visitors during one of several 2010 VSA Days.
Spring 2010 Very Special Festival of the Arts
Friday, May 21, 2010- Join VSA arts of California at Sacramento for the 24th annual I Can Do That! Spring Very Special Festival of the Arts at Coloma Community Center.
Minds-On Art Celebration at the Crocker Art Museum
Friday, March 19, 2010 - Students from the Visually Impaired class at Leonardo da Vinci school visited the Crocker Art Museum for a special docent-led tactile tour.
Community Visual Art Show at the Sacramento Master Singers Concert
March 19 through March 21, 2010- Student artwork from the I Can Do That! Program is displayed at The Sacramento Master Singer concert held at The Crest Theatre.
LdV Blues Band Performance at R5 Records
March 12, 2010- The LdV Blues Band performs live at R5 Records in Sacramento.
Raley's Day at Leonardo da Vinci School
March 12, 2010- The Raley's Sweet Beat made an appearance inside the Auditorium at Leonardo da Vinci Elementary School in Sacramento for an early morning cupcake delivery.
The Frostinistas were on the scene to acknowledge Very Special Arts of Sacramento at Morning Sing for first through third grade classes.
One group of VSA students came to the front of the room to accept cupcakes for their hard work and special achievement – and every boy and girl at Morning Sing got to take a cupcake home for the weekend!
Community Visual Art Show at the Camelia Symphony Orchestra
Saturday February 27, 2010- Student artwork from the I Can Do That! Program is displayed at The Camelia Symphony Orchestra performance at Memorial Auditorium.
Winter 2010 Very Special Festival of the Arts
Friday, January 28th, 2010- VSA arts of California at Sacramento holds the 5th annual Follow the Star! Winter Very Special Festival of the Arts at Sam Pannell Meadowview Community Center.
VSAS launches Spring 2010 Artists-in-the-Schools program
January 2010 - VSA arts of California at Sacramento continues its 24th year of providing arts in education opportunities for children of all abilities through I CAN DO THAT!, the organization's program that brings artists into 60 school sites each year.
